2005/2006
| 31 DECEMBER 2005 -- Poley Mt. |
| Today is my mother's birthday. So I went skiing. Conditions were good but not excellent. Some ice and many ice cookies. I fell on a black diamond run called Sidewinder, but was fine... I must have caught my edge on some ice. I still had fun, even though, once again, I had to go alone, but if I waited for partners, I would never get out. |
| 26 DECEMBER 2005 -- Poley Mt. |
| Boxing Day
skiing. Nice way to sandwich Christmas Day. Small amount of
skiers and good conditions until it started to rain around 3. My
4hr pass was almost run out by then anyways.
|
| 25 DECEMBER 2005 -- Christmas!! |
| Courtney
and I got up and went to my mom's for Christmas breakfast with Neil,
Tab, and the Grahams. Good food and good company. We opened
some presents as well.
For dinner, we went to Courtney's parent's place and joined her parents, Kelly, Andy, Caleb and Andy's mother. After dinner and such, we eventually went to The Grahams for dessert and to meet up with others who hadn't made it to the breakfast earlier that day.

| 24 DECEMBER 2005 - Poley Mt. |
| Christmas
Eve skiing. Nothing more fun than enjoying your favourite winter
activity to start off the Christmas Holidays. I went alone, but
Tony was on duty for Ski Patrol, so we skied together for a while and
that was awesome. There weren't very many skiers there and so it
was very nice to have only a short wait for the ski lift.
Courtney and I spent Christmas Eve with my Dad and Sister. Tabitha made a roast dinner, it was great. Courtney and I watched The Brother's Grim with Tab and Dad. We opened our presents. |
| 17 DECEMBER 2005 - Poley Mt. |
| Stephen
and I went skiing @ Poley Mountain today. It as great. We
had a 4hr pass and used it all. Tony was also up there doing his
Ski Patrol training. I gave him his copy of the Santa Photo from Wednesday.
Conditions were OKAY for a first day out in the season. 4 Trails
open - Sidewinder, Chute, Beginner Area 1,2. We did Sidewinder and
Chute numerous times. Crowds were small so there was no wait to
ski and very few people in the way on the hill. We hope to get out
on the 24th as well, weather permitting. Thanks for a good time,
Stephen.

| March 19 Saturday |
| This morning I oiled my
newly cleaned K&N cone style air filter and installed it on the
car. I picked Alison up around 1pm and we headed to Tony's house
in Sussex. We hung out for a bit and then went on a hike which
ended up being much longer than we were planning on but it was still
very fun. Thanks for the cake, Tony, it was great. We came
back into town for 6pm to meet up with some people and see "Million
Dollar Baby" at the old theatre. Tony, Alison, Andrew (me),
Matt K. and Courtney went. Nick was supposed to join us, but he
was a little late so he missed out. Sorry Nick. I took
Courtney home and I eventually left home. At home I did some web
updating and went to bed.

| March 18 Friday |
| This morning I went into
Joe N Robs to see if they could check my car over for MVI and do the
work and not make me remove my tint and resonator. They told me to
come back around noon so they could have a look and see what work needs
to be done and what SJ VW was messing with me about. As soon as I
pulled into work, Phil pulled in behind me and handed me a ROM chip and
asked me to take it into CGI to install it in their finish that has been
giving error codes. Toshiba figures that will fix their
problems. I went and did that. Now only time will
tell. When I got back, Randy and I went up to Geary/Hanneytown to
work on a telephone system and to pickup a copier. We did all that
and I had a hot dog with coke for lunch for 1.89$ with tax. When
we got back there wasn't much to do and I went out to grab a drink...
while doing that my passenger side brake pad came off its metal backing
and so I went right to Joe N Robs. 30mins later, they had my car
in and started checking it over. They told me the same things were
needing replacement as SJ VW said except a few things and had better
suggestions and prices. Joe drove me home to pickup my old front
brake pads to put onto the car. Turns out that they are pretty
much brand new pads so I don't need to put new rotors or pads on the
front. Here is a list of what I've replaced and will be replacing:
Front Brake Pads - $57 + 7% GST &
shipping* (ordered from www.rpiequipped.com) Rear Brake Rotors x2 - $45 ea. (90) +
15% HST (from Joe & Robs) I ordered front brake pads also because I will need those at some point anyways and to save shipping cost and also in case the ones I put on have some problems. For now the ones that are on now will be good.
Tonight I decided to finish the work
on my K&N Air filters for my car. A couple days ago, I
bought the K&N Air Filter Recharge kit to clean and re-oil the
performance filters. The day I got the stuff, I took off the small
air filter and did that one up at work and then tonight I tackled the
large cone filter. I brushed off the dirt, applied the cleaner
spray, rinsed it off with water from the inside out and left it to dry
naturally in the basement over night.

| March 17 Thursday |
| I took my car into Saint
John Volkswagen today for an oil change and Motor Vehicle
Inspection. They found a bunch of things that needed to be
fixed. Front brake pads, rear rotors, pads and bearings, rear axle
beam bushings. They told me my resonator had to be replaced or put
a pipe in place of it and also that my front window and windshield tint
had to be removed because of some new law (even though the tint has been
there for 8 years and they sold me the car with the tint on it). I
had them put an engine splash guard back on and change the oil with
synthetic as usual. I told them I'm going to Joe N Robs to have my
motor vehicle inspection and work done. By the way, they forgot to
reattach one the transmission splash guard I asked them to put up.
After all of this I went to Courtney's.

| March 16 2005 Wednesday |
| I bought a K&N air
filter recharge kit (cleaner and re-oiler). The rest is a blurr
but I'm sure I was at Courtney's after work.
|
| March 15 2005 Tuesday |
| Who Knows but I know I was
at Courtney's after work.
|
| March 14 2005 Monday |
| I had to be at work early
(8:15am) today to meet the Ultimate Movers. They're picking up a
customer's machine and returning the machine we gave them as a
service-replacement until their's was fixed. The movers arrived at
8:35am, so I could have come in normal time (8:30) but I didn't
mind. After going to that customer's location to disassemble the
old copier, I was supposed to join the movers to the Red Cross and
pickup their old machine we replaced a month ago, but there was some
miscommunication and apparently the old machine had been shipped up to
Moncton, so we're not getting it (not worth the shipping charge).
I had lunch with Courtney after being on the West Side Port/Terminal
checking on a fax machine and a copier at Pier 13 and then Hub
Forwarding. It was nice to have lunch with her. I rejoined
Courtney at 5pm after work for supper and we hung out till 8pm when I
went back home. She got her new double bed! She was really
excited and I'm happy for her. That old one's really small and
springs poking out. Ginger (her cat) took a while to get used to
the new bed for some reason. Silly cat. I helped dad move
his new book cabinets into his room and later researched new lights for
my car. Very expensive. The accountant called and my return
is ready to be reviewed and signed so I'll call him tomorrow and set a
time to come in.

| March 13 2005 Sunday |
| No skiing today.
Conditions are apparently just as bad as Saturday. I slept in
until 9:00am and then eventually got ready for the day. Alison and
I went hiking in Cochrane Lane. Very fun. We got to meet up
with some Ice Climbers on Waterfall Wall. Conditions looked very
nice there. Check for pictures later. The ice looked like
steps. On the far left, there seemed to be a very tall route but
the climbers said it was too thin to make an ascent. The
hike back down to more level ground was a little slippy. I managed
to fall directly onto my left elbow twice on the way off waterfall
wall. I hung out at Alison's for an hour or so after we returned
home. I cleaned some worms off her computer with stinger.exe.
Hopefully her PC will run a little better now. I spent the rest of
the evening with Courtney. We watched a movie and had
supper. I'm pretty tired and sore. Hopefully tomorrow I'll
be all better. I gotta get up and to work by 8:15am.

| March 12 2005 Saturday |
| Conditions at Poley
Mountain are apparently very icy, so we decided not to go.
Instead, I spent the early part of the day watching MacGyver DVDs and
then went to Courtney's for a few hours. Around 6:00pm, Alison,
Courtney, me and Tony went to see Hostage at Cinema 10. Very good
movie with Bruce Willis in it. I ate a jumbo hot dog, small
poutine and regular Coke. I managed to get' slymed' by the thick
gravy in the poutine. Good food, expensive -- $12+ for all that
and very unhealthy :( Oh well. I dropped everyone off after
and then went home with Courtney for a while. She had to get up
for like 5:30am so I got out by 10pm. Good day had by all I
think.
|
| March 11 2005 Friday |
| Another slow day at work;
so little happened that I can't even remember what did happen.
Courtney and I went to pickup my MacGyver season 1 DVD box set from
Valley Computers in Quispamsis (that is the drop-off depot for Purolator
in this area). We tried to make pizza in my oven but half way
through, the oven quit on us. I was able to pretty much finish
cooking it in the microwave. Since MacGyver had arrived, we
decided to watch some. That was all good and pretty much all we
did. I took Courtney home early so she could catch some rest for
her early early shift in the morning. Of course, I decided to stay
up and watch MacGyver until I fell asleep to it and missed the last
5mins of the episode I was watching. MacGyver rules.

| March 10 2005 Thursday |
| A rather slow day at work
but I managed to get a few calls done. Derrick from Toshiba was in
the office. Alison had a meeting after work so we didn't get to
climb or work out at Nubody's. Instead, Courtney and I made dinner
(wild rice, haddock, corn and coke) and watched some TV. She just
got cable on Tuesday and has been enjoying it. On my way home from
Courtney's, I dropped my leather jacket off at mom's to have the button
sewn back on and picked up some RAM Neil had for me. There's going
to be a party on Good Friday night for Alice and Neil's birthdays and I
will most likely bring Courtney out with me if I attend, which is very
likely. Time to sleep.

| March 09 2005 Wednesday |
| Today was part two of the
ongoing saga at Eastward Sales. I Spent more time there
trying to get their two copiers working correctly but in the end Phil
showed up and fixed one and the other fixed itself.
After work Allen came over with his computer to be cleared of spyware and viruses, etc. It had been running pretty sluggish for some time now and Internet Explorer didn't really work either. I installed Ad-Aware SE Personal, and Stinger from McAffee and cleared out his problems. I did a few other things too but those are regular cleanings. Before Allen showed up with the PiZZa, I had time to update my SonicBlue RIO S30S MP3 Player's firmware and the PC Software. It's much better now and the radio actually works on it. I found out that the sugar shack in Sussex that Alison and I went to with her mother back in grade 10 has closed down (has been closed for 3yrs now) so we won't be visiting that unfortunately. Maybe we'll ski Poley Mt. or go ice climbing this weekend.
